David O. Spratley
Senior Pastor

Rev. David O. Spratley, the oldest of 4 children born to Kathrine Spratley and the late David E. Spratley. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord of his life at a young age, and was baptized at the Saint John Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Virginia. He completed his secondary education in the York County Public Schools. Rev. Spratley also attended Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton Virginia, Christopher Newport University in Newport News Virginia, and Carolina University of Theology in Lincolnton, North Carolina where he received a Bachelor Of Arts Degree.

Rev. Spratley was called into the Gospel Ministry in 1994, and ordained in 1996. He served as pastor of the Mount Nebo Baptist Church in Barhamsville, Virginia for 3 years. In 2004, Rev. Spratley received the call to serve as pastor of the Rising Sun Baptist Church in Yorktown, Virginia.

Pastor Spratley is also employed at the Hampton, Newport News Community Services Board where he serves as a Clinical Services Administrator for individuals who are intellectually challenged.

He is married to Wanda D. Spratley and they have 6 children and 4 grandchildren.
